Vincent D’Onofrio Has a ‘Death Wish’

Actor Vincent D’Onofrio will portray Bruce Willis’ brother in the planned remake of Death Wish.

The Die Hard star will take on the leading role of Paul Kersey, which was originated by Charles Bronson in Michael Winner’s controversial cult classic, and now D’Onofrio has signed on to help Willis’ character get revenge for the murder of his wife and sexual assault of his daughter.


Breaking Bad‘s Dean Norris has also been cast in the movie revamp as a police detective. Eli Roth will direct the Death Wish revamp, which will begin production in late September in Montreal, Canada, and Chicago, Illinois, according to Deadline. The 1974 original was loosely based on the book of the same name by Brian Garfield.
