Boomtown Rats (memba dem?) frontman Sir Bob Geldof was due to play 800-capacity venues in England and Wales in September, but as fewer than half the seats sold Geldof has decided to cancel the shows, report editors at The Sun newspaper.

According to posts on a Geldof fan website, the shows were canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

Despite the cancellations, a gig in Lancashire, England on September 4 is still due to go ahead. A spokesman for the Band Aid supremo has declined to comment. Boomtown Rats are best known for their song, “I Don’t Like Mondays.” You can watch below and listen to every Sunday while you prepare to head back to school the following morning.
