Rosie O’Donnell’s adopted daughter Chelsea has been granted permission to get back in touch with the man arrested for sending her explicit images after she ran away with him last month.

Chelsea was reported missing by the comedienne on August 11 after failing to return to their New York home, but the then-17-year-old was picked up by police in Barnegat Light, New Jersey, a day later.

She was found in the company of 25-year-old Steven Sheerer, who she met on dating app Tinder. He was arrested and charged with child endangerment and distribution of obscenity to a minor. His bail was set at $40,000. Chelsea O’Donnell, who turned 18 the following week, subsequently filed a request with court authorities to lift a no-contact order which had been imposed on the couple, and her motion was granted on Friday. New Jersey Judge Wendel Daniels also reduced Sheerer’s bail to $10,000. O’Donnell adopted Chelsea during her three-year marriage to ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, which ended in 2007, but after her recent birthday, the youngster decided to go live with her birth mother in Wisconsin.
