Man Drowns In Demi Moore’s Pool; Actress In Shock
A small party at Demi Moore’s Beverly Hills home on Saturday night took a tragic turn when a man was discovered drowned in the actresses’ pool. Moore was not home at the time. Officer Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department told People magazine they did not suspect foul play and presume the drowning was an accident. Police are awaiting a toxicology report on the victim. The deceased was identified as Edenilson Steven Valle, a 21-year-old Los Angeles native. Witnesses at the scene told police they did not think Valle was able to swim. Though Moore was not home at the time, police told People her assistant was there with five or six others. In a statement to People, Moore expressed sadness of the incident.
“I am in absolute shock. The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends,” said Moore. “I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time.”
According to TMZ, Moore’s assistant had thrown the party and invited Valle. Sources told the tabloid that at one point the assistant and the others had gone inside leaving Valle outside alone. When they returned 15 to 20 minutes later, they discovered Valle at the bottom of the pool. Police suspect the man slipped and fell in. Take your swimming lessons kids.
