Carly Rae Jepsen calls off gigs as typhoon hits Asia

Carly Rae Jepsen’s battle with Typhoon Soudelor began over the weekend when flights into Taiwan were disrupted by the tropical storm, and she later called off her planned appearance at a music festival in Taipei on Sunday, August 9, 2015 as she was unable to travel, tweeting, “I am heartbroken that our trip to Taiwan is postponed bc of the typhoon.”


The whole festival was later postponed due to the problems facing the artists and the severe weather.   The singer had been due to pick up her tour in the Philippines on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, but that gig was also axed over the summer cyclone. Jepsen announced the postponement in a message shared on Twitter. The gigs are slated to resume in Tokyo, Japan on August 17, 2015.
